Lawsuit Filed Against Texas Abortion Doctor

2.6kviews

A man has filed a lawsuit against a San Antonio physician that performed an abortion after the 6 week law.
The S.B.8 law went into affect earlier this month and allows private citizens to sue anyone who assists a woman in an abortion after a fetal heartbeat is detected, even in cases of rape and incest.
Oscar Stilley, a former Arkansas attorney, filed a lawsuit Monday against doctor, Alan Braid, who owns Alamo Women’s Reproductive Services.
The man says he filed the lawsuit against Braid in Texas to test the constitutionality of the law.
Braid defended his actions for performing an abortion after 6 weeks.
He claims he had done his duty as a doctor and that the woman “has a fundamental right to receive this care.”
