Lawyer In South Carolina Shot In The Head

Alex Murdaugh, a popular lawyer in South Carolina, was changing a tire as a car drove by, and someone shot him.

After 1pm on Saturday, he called authorities himself and was transported to a medical facility with a “superficial gunshot wound to the head.”

Murdaugh survived the incident. His black Mercedes-Benz SUV was taken away at the scene as an investigation continues.

No suspect has been taken into custody as of yet.

Alex comes from a long line of South Carolina attorneys. Additionally, in 2019, his son, Paul, made headlines in relation to the death of Mallory Beach during an incident on a boat.

Last month, Alex’s wife, Maggie, and son, Paul, were murdered in a double homicide in their home.

This prompted officials to look into the 2015 death of a teen, Stephen Smith. He was located in a street after being hit by a vehicle. No offender was ever found.
