Los Angeles Lakers player, LeBron James, 36, has tested positive for COVID-19 using a lateral flow test, sources revealed on Tuesday.

Subsequent to that test, he was given a PCR test to ensure the diagnosis was correct. But, that test returned back negative. A third test was then performed, and the results were positive.

James has been put on the NBA’s health and safety protocols and won’t be able to play in several upcoming games. The news came just before Tuesday’s night game against the Kings.

It was said that Lebron is asymptomatic and fully vaccinated.

It isn’t known for sure if he is COVID-19 positive or if he was in close proximity or had a false positive.

The NBA’s policy states that if someone tests positive, they can’t be in close contact with the team for 10 days or until two PCR tests are negative.
