On Friday, “Doomsday Mom,” Lori Vallow Daybell was convicted on all charges related to the deaths of her two children and death of her husband’s ex-wife.
Vallow was facing six charges. This was in connection to the deaths of 16-year-old Tylee Ryan, 7-year-old JJ Vallow, and Tammy Daybell, almost four years ago in Idaho. She could be sentenced to life in prison.
Tylee’s body was discovered burned and dismembered. It was found buried in a yard. Additionally, JJ was found with duct tape over his mouth and plastic bag over his head. He had been buried, as well. Tammy, who was thought to have been suffocated, actually died from asphyxiation.
Vallow was found guilty of first-degree murder, grand theft by deception, and the conspiracy to commit the murder of Tylee Ryan.
She faced the same charges in relation to JJ Vallow.
Lori Daybell was then found guilty of conspiracy to commit the murder of Tammy Daybell, Chad Daybell’s ex-wife.
It was reported that Lori Vallow persuaded her brother and Chad to commit the killings. They are facing similar charges, as well.
Prosecutors noted that Lori Vallow utilized money, power, and sex to meet her needs in life. Part of that was getting rid of her “problems.” That involved her children. They added that Lori believed that her children were zombies and that there was a romantic rivalry going on with Tammy Daybell.
In court, defense lawyers stated that Chad Daybell, a wannabe cult leader, had manipulated Lori Vallow. They added that she would have never set out to kill her children and Tammy Daybell because she was a great mother.
