A Pennsylvania man is accused of fatally beating his wife and placing her deceased body in a bathtub.
Officers responded to a call regarding a possible dead body on the 300 block of West High Street around 7pm on September 30.
Upon arrival they were met by Christopher Mello,39 and a teenage boy holding an infant.
They asked Mello about anyone else being in the home.
He told officers his wife, Alexandria Reynolds,39 was in the home and they could look around.
Her body was discovered deceased in an upstairs bathtub with two black eyes and a lacerated nose.
Mello allegedly admitted to police that he punched and kicked his wife while she was on the ground.
He was originally arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
An autopsy was performed and ruled a homicide.
Mello’s charges were upgrade to murder Monday.
