25 year-old Elvis Sestic, from Mesquite, was arrested Thursday evening after a disturbance with vehicles turned into a police chase in Forney.

When the drivers of a white box truck and a black Honda Pilot seemed to be having a persistent problem, the Forney Police Department arrived on the scene at US Highway 80 and Farm-to Market(FM) 548.

At about 7:13pm, authorities approached the person in the Honda Pilot. However, the individual in the white box truck, Sestic, wouldn’t cooperate when officers tried to stop him.

The box truck was said to be driving out of control and going at least 80 mph. The chase went from College Ave, Chestnut St., Broad St., Bois D’arc, and through Hurricane Park.

As the box truck tried to leave out of the park, it wrecked close to Center and Buffalo  Streets.

Sestic left the scene on foot, was located near Cedar St., and tried to run again.

Eventually, he was apprehended. He faces two charges of evading arrest or detention and two charges of criminal mischief.
