27-year-old Tyron Morris has been charged with aggravated robbery after authorities say that he admitted to holding up a woman mail carrier at an apartment complex in Raleigh, Tennessee.
On May 5, authorities answered to a call about someone who was at the Keystone Landing Apartments. That’s when Morris disclosed to officers that he had been a part of the robbery of the mail carrier a month prior.
The mail carrier had told police that she was putting mail into the mailboxes when she saw Morris looking at her. Morris then went up to her, placed a gun to her abdomen, and forced her to give him a package.
“I don’t want to hurt you, but I have a package with a lot of dope in it, and I need the package. Give me the biggest package you have,” Morris is said to have said to the female carrier.
The woman added that another robber snatched a key that unlocked all of the mailboxes.
Morris confessed to all of the events; however, authorities haven’t stated whether drugs were in the package. They are also unclear as to why Morris decided to admit to the offenses.
He is now being held on a $100,000 bond and will appear in court on Wednesday.
