A man is behind bars today after allegedly beating a Ballwin Police Officer while a domestic dispute was taking place Friday evening.
A little before 6:30 p.m., police responded to a call that a 26-year-old man had attacked his mother. Once the police arrived, Jacob Goring violently approached the officer and immediately punched him in the face and nose area. Goring then wrestled the officer down to the ground.
The police officer was able to tase Goring but he was unaffected by it. Goring was arrested and taken into custody when another police officer arrived to help. The officer only sustained minor injuries from the attack.
Goring has been charged with domestic assault, assaulting a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, disarming a peace officer and property damage. His bond has been set at $30,000. He is currently being held at the St. Louis County jail.
