A Florida man has been arrested after he allegedly shot and killed his ex girlfriend because she didn’t return his phone calls or texts.
According to reports, 23 year old Carlos Lemont Jones, of Brevard County, was arrested last week for the murder of his 23 year old ex girlfriend Sha’Dayla A. Johnson.
Authorities were dispatched to a residence on the 2800 block of Colbert Circle, around 7:48 a.m., on December 19 for a shooting call. Upon their arrival they found Johnson laying face down on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds.
She was transported to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead from her injuries.
During the investigation officers were told by Johnson’s father that she had broken up with Jones and that he had been calling and stalking her.
Johnson, who lived with her father, was leaving for work when she was shot 15 times in the back by Jones who was hiding outside.
When Johnson’s father stepped outside to check he saw Jones fleeing the scene in his vehicle and his daughter suffering.
Later that day Jones turned himself into Palm Bay Police Department where he admitted to shooting and killing Johnson. He then said if he had the chance he would kill her father too.
He is currently being held without bond at the Palm Bay Police Department for capital murder and use of a firearm while a felon.
