A New Jersey man was arrested after running over a 23-year-old woman multiple times with his SUV on Tuesday morning.
Vincent Jean, 56, has been charged with first-degree attempted murder, second-degree aggravated assault, third-degree aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, third-degree assault by auto, third-degree leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident with serious bodily injury, third-degree endangering an injured victim and third-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
Witnesses say Jean and the female victim got into a car accident and Jean tried to flee the scene. The victim was attempting to take photos of his car when he deliberately ran her over.
Responding police officers found the female victim lying on the ground, suffering from severe injuries. She was taken to the hospital in critical condition but was listed in stable condition as of Thursday.
Jean left the scene and was located later the that morning sitting alone in his parked, damaged SUV.
