The Dallas Police Department Auto Theft Task Force arrested a man in connection to making and selling fake paper tags.
Authorities arrested 43 year old Wayland Wayne Wright on the 3600 block of Sunnyvale Street after receiving a tip.
After receiving the tip officers conducted an undercover buy for a fake paper tag.
On April 20 officers executed a search warrant at the location and found additional fake paper tags as well as $3000 cash.
Wright eventually admitted to making and selling the fake tags. He was charged with Tampering with a Governmental Record with Intent to Defraud.
This investigation remains ongoing.
