Man Charged With Capital Murder After Fatally Shooting 11 Year Old Boy In North Dallas

A 30 year old man is facing capital murder charges in Dallas after he fatally shot an 11 year old boy early Saturday morning.

The incident took place on March 11, shortly after 2 a.m., when officers responded to a shooting call on the 6400 block of Royal Lane.

Upon arrival they found a woman and an 11 year old boy suffering from a gunshot wound. First responders arrived and pronounced the 11 year old deceased at the scene and then transported the woman to a local hospital in stable condition.

While investigating officers learned that 30 year old Jakeith Huntley was responsible for the fatal shooting. He was later arrested in Glenn Heights and transported to Dallas County jail.

Huntley is currently being held with no bail. The relationship between the suspect and victims is still unclear at this time.
