A 10-month-old baby has passed away after being hospitalized with signs of physical abuse.
On October 1, the infant, Kaysan Amonte Harris, was admitted with internal and external injuries and placed on life support. He died on Friday, October 7.
The mother has been “very cooperative” in the investigation and is not expected to face any charges.
The mother’s boyfriend, 22-year-old Dennilson Alejandro Uk, was arrested and charged with injury to a child-serious bodily injury. Pending autopsy results police expect charges to be upgraded.
Uk is not related to the child.
The infant’s grandmother says the family is devastated by the tragedy and demands justice for the little boy.
The case is being investigated by the Saginaw Police and Texas Rangers.
