A 25-year-old man died last week in Houston, Texas, after investigators say that he jumped and climbed onto an 18-wheeler. The big rig had been going southbound in the 2500 block of Eastex Freeway, close to Liberty Road. The incident occurred at about 11:35 a.m. on November 10.
Authorities say that the driver of the 18-wheeler wasn’t aware that the man was up there, dancing and recording himself.
When the truck went under the Tuam Street Bridge, close to Midtown, the man fell off of the truck and into oncoming traffic. The unidentified man was transported to a medical facility where he succumbed to his injuries.
The trucker did stop and was questioned by authorities. He was let go without charges after it was found that he wasn’t impaired.
An investigation is continuing.
