Srikesh Kumar, a 45 year-old man from India, was in critical condition after he was hit by a motorcycle near New Delhi on Friday.
He was declared deceased at a private medical facility and was then transported to a government hospital. Kumar was looked at by a medical examiner many times and no signs of life were found.
Afterwards, he was put into a freezer at the morgue until his family came to the location after six hours had passed.
When the man’s family and officials began to work on autopsy details, the man was located alive. “He’s not at all dead. How did this happen? Look, he wants to say something. He is breathing!” Madhu Bala, Kumar’s sister-in-law exclaimed in video that has circulated the internet.
Relatives say that they will now file a complaint against the doctors who were negligent, saying Kumar almost died by being placed in the freezer.
The man is still in a coma as an investigation into the matter continues.
