Man Facing Charges After Terrell Police Find 23 Pounds Of Promethazine Chloride And Other Drugs Inside Car
Terrell police arrested a man with marijuana, promethazine hydrochloride and hydrocodone during a routine traffic stop Wednesday afternoon.
Officers pulled a 2019 Nissan Altima over on Interstate 20E to conduct a routine traffic stop and during the stop had their K9 sniff outside the vehicle.
The K9 smelled drugs coming from the vehicle which caused for officers to search the vehicle.
Once they searched the vehicle they found 23 pounds of promethazine hydrochloride, a small amount of marijuana, hydrocodone, and a Glock handgun with two extended magazines.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as Joshua Donaldson,20 who was headed to Jackson, Ms.
He was charged with manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance in penalty group 3 greater than or equal to four grams and less than 400 grams, possession of a controlled substance in penalty group 3 less than 28 grams, and unlawful carrying of a weapon.
Donaldson is being held at the Kaufman County Jail on bond for $106,000.
