A man was electrocuted in Dallas early Sunday morning while trying to steal copper from a transformer.
According to officers they received a call from a witness in her car that she heard a loud noise and thought a man had been shot but said she saw a body lying on the curb after the noise.
The incident occurred near N. Central Expressway and Olive St where officers say they found a transformer wire with black marks at the end not far from his body.
Medical Examiners arrived and identified the victim as Gabriel Monjaraz,25 and determined his cause of death was electrocution.
