Man Fatally Shot At A Dallas Family Dollar On Lancaster Rd

A man was arrested Tuesday evening after he fatally shot a man inside a Dallas Family Dollar.

The incident occurred shortly before 7:30 p.m. on the 3200 block of S. Lancaster Road when officers were called to a shooting.

Upon their arrival they saw a man lying on the ground in front of the store with a gunshot wound. Emergency crews arrived and pronounced him dead at the scene.

During the preliminary investigation officers learned the victim was caught trying to steal items out the store. A fight then ensued inside the store between the victim and store employees as they confronted him.

The suspect, 47 year old Kevin Jackson Sr. walked into the store and noticed the scuffle. He then pulled out a weapon and shot the victim.

The victim, whose identity has not been released, managed to walk out the store where he collapsed.

Jackson was arrested and charged with murder.
