On January 10, around 3:56 a.m. officers responded to a shooting call on the 1400 block of Peru Street.
Upon arrival they found an unknown man laying on the ground unresponsive with a gunshot wound. Emergency crews arrived and pronounced the man dead at the scene.
At this time authorities are unclear about what led up to the fatal shooting. No suspect(s) are in custody.
This shooting investigation remains ongoing.
