Man Gets 40-Year Prison Sentence In Relation To Shavon Randle’s Murder

2.5kviews

In July, Laquon Wilkerson pleaded guilty to engaging in organized criminal activity. He was handed a 40-year prison sentence.

Wilkerson was suspected in the abduction and homicide of 13 year-old Shavon Randle, of Lancaster, in June 2017.

Because Wilkerson made a plea, aggravated kidnapping, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and harassment charges were dropped.

Authorities say that Wilkerson, with three others, took Randle from her residence. They kept her because of drugs that were stolen. She suffered multiple gunshot wounds although she was not involved with the drugs.

Randle’s body, along with her cousin’s body, 19 year-old Michael Titus, was discovered inside of a trap house in East Oak Cliff.

Officials have said that they will probably never find out the exact details because those who know what really happened are not alive or are connected in some way.

A charge of murder has never occurred in this case.
