Tyrese Simmons, the man set to stand trial for the killing of a 9-year-old girl in Dallas, cannot be found. His trial is supposed to begin next week for the murder that occurred in 2019.

Reports have indicated that Simmons unattached his ankle monitor and hasn’t been located. Last Sunday, a tamper monitor alert went out, and there is now an active warrant for his arrest.

Authorities say that in August 2019, Simmons, who was a rapper then, was searching for another rapper when he mistakenly shot into an apartment. That ended in the death of 9-year-old Brandoniya Bennett.

In 2022, Davonte Brown, 22, was given a 45-year prison sentence for his part in the killing.

  2. A murder suspect is not kept in jail, but is allowed out, allowing him to run off? Was this decision made by a liberal DA or a liberal judge?
