A Memphis man was arrested after he allegedly shot a Dollar General employee in the face.
Officers responded to a shooting call at a Dollar General on the 4700 block of S. Third Street.
According to reports a man walked into the store with a handgun wrapped in a bag wearing a black mask.
He demanded money from the register while pointing a gun at the employee.
The man then shot the employee in the face, took some Halloween candy in a yellow Dollar General bag and fled the scene on foot.
Officers reviewed surveillance videos and recognized the suspect as Malik Motley,22.
Authorities went to Motley’s home, which is a mile away from the store.
He was leaving out the home when they arrived and began running.
Police obtained a search warrant for Motley’s home and found a handgun along with a yellow Dollar General bag full of Halloween candy.
Motley was arrested and charged with Especially Aggravated Robbery and Attempted First-Degree Murder.
