Joseph Smith, a plumber from Kansas, was fatally shot by a dog during a hunting accident on Tuesday.
30-year-old Smith had been a passenger in a pickup truck when the dog, that belonged to truck’s driver, stepped on the hunting rifle in the backseat. Smith was hit in the back and died immediately.
A GoFundMe page has been created and contains several photos of Smith as he played the guitar and sang.
“Joseph Smith was a truly amazing man. He was kind, funny, smart, and very loving…,” the page read.
Authorities in Sumner County have not stated what happened to the dog after the shooting.
No further information has been released at this time.
Stupid avoidable mistake. Smh. Dog will probably be put down for the owner’s idiocy.
