Man Shot By McKinney Police After Pointing Rifle At Them

A man is recovering from a gunshot wound after he aimed a rifle at McKinney police Sunday morning.
Officers responded to a domestic violence on the 2300 block of North Ridge Rd.
When they arrived they were able to safely remove a woman from the home but the man inside refused to come out.
The man then pointed a rifle at the officers through a broken window and was shot by McKinney police.
The man was struck in the shoulder and transported to a nearby hospital with no life threatening injuries.
He was later charged with aggravated assault on a public servant and is facing additional charges.
