An Arlington man is in custody after he intentionally rammed his vehicle into multiple Grand Prairie police cars Saturday morning.
Officers responded to a possible intoxicated driver call on Northbound 161 service rd near Arkansas Ln.
Upon arrival officers spotted a Dodge Ram truck and attempted to stop it.
During this time the driver, Terry Darnell,58 got onto President George Bush northbound and a small chase ensued.
Darnell exited W. Marshal Dr and came to a stop.
The vehicle then picked up speed and intentionally rammed into multiple squad cars, in which two had officers inside.
He then took his car and rammed a female officer into a fence that guarded the service rd.
At this time another officer opened fire at the suspect, striking him in his wrist.
After moments of negotiating Darnell finally surrendered without further incident.
He was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault against a public servant.
