1.2kviews

Alexander McLeish, from Massachusetts, won the lottery right after he underwent open heart surgery.

On Monday, a press release noted that McLeish had the operation in early November.

When a friend gave him a get well card afterwards, it contained the “$5,000,000 100X Cashword” instant lottery game tickets.

He won $1 million.

McLeish picked up one ticket and scratched off the “Your Letters” part of the ticket. Then, his initials, “AWM”, were revealed. On the bottom row was the word HEART. It was the winning ticket.

McLeish has had great luck before. He stated that, one year, the same person gave him a lottery ticket as a present for his birthday. He won $1,000 that time.
