Mansfield’s Jasmine Moore Heads To Tokyo Olympics For Triple Jump

Jasmine Moore of Lake Ridge High school in Mansfield is heading to Tokyo.
Moore is probably one of the happiest people in Eugene, Oregon right now after qualifying for the Tokyo Olympics.
Moore,20 made qualifications in third place with a 46-foot-5 1 / 4-inch triple jump.
Moore graduated two years ago from Lake Ridge as Gatorade’s National Track and Field Athletes of the Year.
“Yes, I’m definitely one of the younger people on the team,” she said. “I was doing team processing, but they were like,” How old are you? ” I said, “I’m 20 years old … I’m a 2001 baby!” Moore said.
Orlando McDaniel was Moore’s trainer before he passed away from COVID-19 over a year ago.
She went on to say, “I think he’s very proud of me,” Moore said. “He always afflicted me because he saw my potential, and I know [Sunday], I was definitely proud of him.“
