Marlon and LaShonda Moore, of Prosper, Texas, are accused of scamming tens of millions of dollars from African-Americans across the country. They were running an illegal pyramid scheme throughout the pandemic.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton filed a lawsuit against the married couple. Additionally, he stated that the scheme called BINT, Blessings In No Time, promised to “bless” people of the African-American population.

First, “members” would give their contribution of $1,400. They would get in return a “blessing ” of 8 times the amount of $1,425. Therefore, BINT members were guaranteed a sum of $11,200 once the recruitment cycle contained 8 people.

BINT members filed almost 200 complaints on Texas BBB website. Furthermore, they stated they never received their “return blessing.” This results in over $700,000 never returned.

Now, Paxton requests the court to freeze BINT’s assets, stop business activities in Texas, and compensate the victims.

The couple previously appeared on the OWN show, “Family or Finance.”
