Mesquite Police Searching For Suspect Involved In Fatal Shooting Of Lyft Driver

Mesquite police are searching for a gunman(s) responsible for killing a Mesquite Lyft driver Tuesday evening.
According to reports the shooting happened around 7:30pm northbound 635 and Interstate 30.
The caller contacted police and said they had been shot by a passing vehicle on the ramp, that they had a passenger inside their vehicle and that they had crashed.
Once emergency crews arrived to the scene they transported the caller to the hospital where he died from his injuries.
The victim was later identified as Robert Barry,58.
At this time officers don’t have any suspects or a description of the vehicle.
This shooting investigation remains ongoing.
