Miami Woman Shot In Head And Doctors Put A Band-Aid Over The Wound And Send Her Home

A Miami woman was shot in the head during a drive by and when she went to the hospital she says the doctor slapped a band-aid on it and sent her home.
According to reports Shakena Jefferson,42 and her wife Janet Medley we’re headed to the grocery store when Jefferson was struck in the head by a stray bullet.
She was transported to a nearby hospital where the doctor allegedly put a bandage over the wound and sent her home with some antibiotics.
A few days later Jefferson complained about headaches and her wife took her to Baptist Hospital of Miami where they performed an X-ray and noticed the bullet lodged in her head.
She underwent surgery where the bullet was removed and doctors say she is expected to have a full recovery.
Another victim Clive Khouri was also injured during the drive by and said that the gunmen were on an ATV when they pulled up to his vehicle and opened fire striking his passenger in the head.
The passenger was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
Detective Argemis Colome said no arrest have been made at this time and they are investigating to make sure this was it a hate crime since all the victims were gay.
This investigation is ongoing.
Jefferson and Medley said they plan on hiring an attorney and taking legal action against the hospital that sent her home with a bullet and a band-aid.
