Middle School Teacher Arrested After Kissing A Student In His Classroom

A Florida middle school teacher was arrested after being accused of kissing a student in class.

Carlos Aguirre Rendon, a math teacher at Deltona Middle School in Deltona, is accused of kissing a 15-year-old student.

The 29-year-old teacher was taken into custody on Wednesday after an investigation was launched. Rendon is being charged with lewd or lascivious conduct and witness tampering, both of which are felonies.

According to deputies, it was reported that Rendon kissed a student on the lips in his classroom.

It’s unclear if class was in session at the time or not.

The student’s parents already had a complain filed with the sheriff’s office, prior to this claim. The child’s mother reported that she saw Rendon put his arm around her daughter at a park. Which she deemed extremely inappropriate.

According to the sheriff’s office, Rendon was focused on pursuing a relationship with the teen outside of the average teacher-student bond.

The day before the arrest, deputies learned that Rendon was also telling any potential witnesses, “not to talk..”

The teacher posted his $12,500 bond and was released Wednesday night.

Additional charges may still surface, pending the investigation.
