Couple Killed Days Apart In Separate Shootings

Jackson police are investigating a double shooting that claimed the lives of a young couple just days apart from each other.
On Sunday August 8 around 11:30pm Kennedy Wilson,23 was traveling westbound on Woodrow Wilson.
She was shot while driving and transported to an area hospital by private vehicle where she later died from her injuries.
A few days later her boyfriend Demarco Gaines,23 was at Black Diamonds Gentlemen’s Club on the 200 block of Parcel Dr where he was shot multiple times.
When emergency crews arrived they pronounced Gaines dead at the scene.
At this time no suspects have been arrested.
The investigation remains ongoing.
