Mother and Son Charged With Mechanics Death

A mother and son have been charged with murder and assault after they shot two people during a dispute over an unpaid mechanical bill in St. Louis.
According to reports the incident took place back on June 9 on the 3600 block of E. Prairie Ave.
Isiah Gholson,17 and his mother Randa Anthony,39 shot and killed Kerry Charley,52 and shot a 32 year old woman after he repaired Anthony’s BMW and they tried to take the car without paying.
Charley tried to get the keys back from the suspect and that’s when he opened fire and began shooting several times.
The woman was transported to a hospital in critical condition and Charley was pronounced dead at the scene by Medical Examiners.
Gholson was the shooter and charged with first degree murder, first degree assault, two counts of armed criminal action and one count of failure to report a shooting. He was not given a bond.
Anthony was charged with hindering the prosecution of a felon, one count of third degree assault and failure to report a shooting. She was given a $25,000 cash bond.
They both remain in jail at the time.
