On October 4, Lynn Savage, 70, was arrested for trespassing after breaking a medical facility’s Coronavirus and visitation policy.
The Florida mother stands by and does not regret her decision to stick by her daughter’s side.
“I could not in good conscience and good heart leave her bedside not knowing how she was going to make it through the night, voluntarily,” Savage stated.
Her daughter, Amber, was healing after undergoing brain surgery at a hospital, UF Health North, in Jacksonville.
Initially, Savage said that a physician requested that she come into Amber’s room to assist since her daughter is non-verbal and mildly paralyzed. The hospital needed her help in getting her daughter to calm down after surgery.
However, when time was up, Savage wouldn’t leave. She was later led out of the building by a Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office deputy.
Savage was held in jail for 24 hours. She will appear in court on October 20.
