Nappy Roots Member Recovering After Being Robbed And Kidnapped Outside His Brewery
A member of the popular group Nappy Roots is on a road to recovery after being kidnapped and robbed outside a brewery he co—owns in Atlanta.
The incident happened around 11 p.m. Wednesday in a nearby parking deck outside the Atlantucky Brewery located on the 100 block of Northside Dr SW.
It was said that the suspects robbed a customer prior and then kidnapped Fish Scales aka Melvin Adams Jr. and forced him into his white Mercedes-Benz SUV.
They then drove to Adams home in Hapeville, Ga where he was able to escape and get to a neighbors house for help. Adams was also shot in the leg while trying to escape.
The suspects fled the scene before officers could arrive.
Adams was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for non life threatening injuries.
His car was found in Hapeville and the suspects got away with about $30 and a few personal items.
