This week, Kritza was given 70 months in prison. This was for taking more than $4.7 million from the ex-player, federal authorities have stated. Kritza is said to have spent the money on expensive cars, houses, vacations, and tuition for his children’s private school.

It was also ruled that Kritza must pay restitution to the former player in the amount of $4,794, 874.

Kritza had pleaded guilty to bank and wire fraud.

Jefferson had played for the University of Arizona and then went on to play for the Milwaukee Bucks. Afterwards, he joined the San Antonio Spurs and the Cleveland Cavaliers. In 2018, he retired.

In April 2005, Kritza began working as an assistant. In this role, his duties were to run errands and pay bills for the basketball player.
