A man has died, and five others were injured in a mass shooting in Baltimore on Saturday night.
At approximately 8:46 p.m. on August 9, police responded to reports of gunfire at the intersection of Spaulding and Queensberry Avenues.
Upon arrival, officers found four men and two women injured from gunshot wounds, including a five-year-old girl who was struck in the hand.
The five-year-old girl, along with a 23-year-old woman, a 32-year-old man, a 33-year-old man, and a 52-year-old man, are all believed to have sustained injuries that are not life-threatening.
One victim, a 38-year-old man, was in critical condition but was pronounced dead on August 10.
Authorities have not yet determined whether these victims were specifically targeted.
Baltimore Police Commissioner Richard Worley expressed skepticism that the shooting was a drive-by, citing the large number of shell casings recovered at the scene.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
