In June, a Dallas doctor was arrested, and his medical license was temporarily suspended this week amid allegations of child indecency.

On Wednesday, the Texas Medical Board suspended Dr. Lawrence Albert Bean’s license, citing that “his continued medical practice poses an ongoing threat to public safety.”

Bean was apprehended by Heath Police Department on June 16 and charged with indecency with a child by sexual contact.

He was booked into Rockwall County Jail with a bond set at $25,000.

Public records indicate that Dr. Bean specialized in emergency medicine, with his primary place of practice listed as Preston Hollow Emergency Room on Walnut Hill Lane in Dallas.

The Texas Medical Board has announced that a suspension hearing will be scheduled promptly, with at least 10 days’ notice provided to Bean.
