Fort Worth police are investigating a drive-by shooting that resulted in a man’s death.
The incident occurred on August 18, around 2:51 p.m., at the 4600 block of E. Berry Street.
Officers responded to the scene and found a male victim with a gunshot wound. He was transported to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on August 19.
According to reports, Christopher Jerome Blanton pulled up alongside the victim’s vehicle and fired, hitting the driver. The suspect then fled before officers arrived.
Blanton was already in custody for aggravated assault and will be charged with murder.
