An investigation is underway in Pennsylvania following an incident at a local elementary school involving a kindergarten student who allegedly provided Jell-O shots to at least three classmates, resulting in their hospitalization.

The incident took place on Wednesday within the Greater Johnstown School District. According to the superintendent, once staff became aware of the situation, they responded immediately. The affected children were taken to the nurse’s office for assessment, and EMS was summoned to transport them to a nearby hospital as a precautionary measure.

Parents were notified quickly and met their children at the hospital. It is still unclear whether the young student intentionally brought the Jell-O shots to school or if any adults were involved in preparing or packing them.

Superintendent Dr. Amy D. Arcurio described the incident as an “isolated event” and confirmed that the Jell-O shots were confiscated upon discovery. Local authorities are assisting with the investigation, which is primarily focusing on how the kindergartener acquired the items.

The investigation remains ongoing.
