Legendary ‘The Cosby Show’ Actor Malcolm-Jamal Warner Dies at 54

Malcolm-Jamal Warner, widely recognized for his role as Theodore Huxtable on “The Cosby Show,” has died.

The 54-year-old is believed to have drowned while swimming on a family vacation in Costa Rica. No additional information has been provided.

Warner was the only son of Bill Cosby’s character, Heathcliff Huxtable, in the popular sitcom that ran from 1984 to 1992.

Throughout his career, he’s played prominent roles in popular series such as Malcolm & Eddie, Reed Between the Lines, and most recently as Dr. AJ Austin in The Resident. He has also appeared in productions like American Crime Story, Sons of Anarchy, 9-1-1, and Alert: Missing Persons Unit.

In addition to acting, he’s directed episodes of beloved shows like Kenan & Kel and All That, and has also served as a producer for PBS’s The Magic School Bus.
