Man Accused Of Spitting On Fort Worth Officer Murdered In Prison

Antwan DeAngelo Alexander,34, an inmate at the Clements Unit in Amarillo Texas was found beaten to death in his cell earlier this week.

Guards say they found Alexander, around 6:15 p.m., physically beaten and unresponsive in his cell. It is believed that his cellmate murdered him.

Alexander was serving a three year prison sentence for harassment of a public servant and was suppose to be getting released soon.

He was recently transferred from a facility in Lubbock that houses mental health patients.

The TDCJ’s Office of the Inspector General is investigating the murder.
