Police in Washington are searching for Travis Decker, the father of three young girls from Wenatchee, aged 5, 8, and 9, whose bodies were discovered on Monday.

Decker, 32 years old, faces charges of three counts of first-degree murder and first-degree kidnapping. He is described as being 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing approximately 190 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. The last time he was seen, he was wearing a light-colored shirt and dark shorts.

Authorities indicate that he has a military background with extensive training.

The three girls, ages 9, 8, and 5, went missing on Friday, May 30, around 9:45 p.m., after their mother reported they had not returned following a scheduled visit with Decker. He was believed to be driving a white 2017 GMC Sierra pickup truck with Washington license plate D20165C.

Law enforcement agencies launched an immediate search for Decker and the children.

On Monday, June 2, around 3:45 p.m., a Chelan County deputy located Decker’s abandoned vehicle near Rock Island Campground. During a subsequent search of the area, the bodies of the three girls were found. Decker was not at the scene.

Authorities are still actively searching for Decker. His current whereabouts are unknown, and it is uncertain whether he is armed. He may pose a danger if approached. Anyone who has seen Decker since May 30 or knows where he might be is urged to call 911 immediately. For safety reasons, the public is advised not to attempt to contact or approach him.
