A woman has been taken into custody following a shooting incident involving her husband during a heated dispute.
On May 30, 2025, around 1:40 AM, Mansfield Police responded to a distress call from the 2600 block of Woodbridge Trail.
The male victim, who made the 911 call, reported that his intoxicated wife discharged a firearm inside their home, striking him multiple times. He claimed he was shot multiple times and suffered two gunshot wounds. Despite his injuries, he was able to leave the residence and seek medical assistance.
Emergency crews arrived quickly and the victim was transported to a nearby hospital where he is expected to recover.
The female suspect remained inside the residence for a while until a Mansfield police officer managed to persuade her to exit without incident.
She was subsequently taken into custody and transported to Mansfield Jail, where she faces charges of Aggravated Assault and Family Violence.
