Plano Police Arrest Two Suspects Involved in Stabbing and Kidnapping

On Thursday, October 3, 2024, around 4:15 p.m., Plano Police Officers were called to the scene of a stabbing and kidnapping in the 2400 block of W. Spring Creek Parkway.

Upon arrival, officers learned that the suspect, Raul Puente, a 23-year-old Hispanic male from Dallas, along with his associate Ivan Puente-Ledezma, also 23 and Hispanic, had kidnapped a woman they knew along with her 4-year-old child during an incident of domestic violence.

During this event, two adult males attempted to intervene and halt the kidnapping but were stabbed by one of the suspects. The woman and child were then forced into a black Mazda 6, and the suspects fled the scene.

The Plano Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division launched an active pursuit of these suspects, who were eventually apprehended in the 400 block of Hollywood Avenue in Dallas, TX.

Raul will be charged with Aggravated Kidnapping and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, while the second suspect also faces charges of Aggravated Kidnapping.
