Royse City ISD Student Injured During Cafeteria Fight Involving X-ACTO Knife

An altercation in Royse City ISD resulted in one student being injured by another.

The incident took place at Bobby Summers Middle School, in Fate, on April 24, prior to the first bell.

According to reports two female students got into an altercation in the cafeteria. The altercation included a small X-ACTO knife, which caused cuts on one student’s arms.

An administrator promptly stepped in to separate the students. The school resource officer is investigating the matter, and criminal charges may be pursued based on the outcomes of the investigation.

Both families were contacted immediately following the incident. The school resource officer and administration are examining whether this was an isolated incident.
