Plano Police are investigating a shooting that left a man dead over the weekend.
Around 4:30 p.m. on May 17, officers responded to reports of gunfire on the 5600 block of Woodhaven Court. Upon arrival, they found the victim, Brandon Dorsey,44, suffering from gunshot wounds to his upper body. Dorsey was taken to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.
On May 18 officers arrested 44 year old Carlos Arthur Schurman Mendes. He has been charged with murder.
The case still remains under investigation.
