Dallas police have taken a suspect into custody following a weekend incident in which a pedestrian was struck and killed.
Responding to the 5200 block of Harry Hines Boulevard shortly after 3:30 a.m. Saturday, officers discovered that a truck had lost control and struck a pedestrian. The pedestrian was transported to a nearby hospital but later succumbed to injuries.
The truck driver was arrested and detained by authorities.
The victim’s identity has not yet been publicly released.
