Three teenagers were taken into custody after allegedly stealing a Pleasant Grove ISD school bus in July.
On July 13, the Texarkana, Texas Police Department received a report around 4:30 a.m. of a school bus traveling along Richmond Road.
When officers attempted to stop the bus, they discovered it had already crashed into a tree as the suspects fled the scene. The individuals were later identified as 18-year-old Matthew Lacey and 17-year-olds Trip Wilson and Brooks Wilhite.
All three are charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle.
Wilhite and Wilson were arrested earlier this month, while Lacey was arrested over the weekend. All are out on bail, with Wilhite’s bail set at $25,000, and Wilson’s and Lacey’s at $20,000 each.
