Two Dallas Police Officers Arrested for Alcohol-Related Offenses Within 48 Hours

Two Dallas police officers are on administrative leave following separate incidents involving alcohol-related arrests.

On June 10, Officer Elijah Walker was taken into custody by the Euless Police Department for driving while intoxicated, classified as a Class B misdemeanor.

Officer Walker, who joined the Dallas Police Department in March 2023, is assigned to the Central Patrol Division. He is currently on leave as the department’s Internal Affairs Division investigates the matter.

The following day, on June 11, Officer Jerrid Couch was arrested by Dallas police for public intoxication, a Class C misdemeanor.

Officer Couch has been with the department since September 2023 and is assigned to the Northeast Patrol Division. Like Walker, he is on administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal investigation.
